Big! Nearly 50 Iranian Spies Inside Pentagon, US Launches Panic Hunt? 'Lie-Detector Test'
The Pentagon is reportedly widening its investigation into sensitive leaks about the Iran war. According to The New York Times, around 50 members of the U.S. military’s Joint Staff were subjected to polygraph tests as investigators sought to identify the source of information shared with journalists. The reported probe centers on disclosures about the impact of the conflict on U.S. munitions stockpiles. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell did not confirm the tests, saying the department does not comment on internal personnel or investigative matters. He said the Pentagon takes leaks of classified national security information extremely seriously and investigates them. The reported crackdown raises fresh questions about what was disclosed and who investigators believe may have leaked it.
