Russia has launched a blistering attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after explosions were reported at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, Europe's largest nuclear facility. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused Kyiv of deliberately targeting the nuclear plant and warned that such actions could provoke a nuclear disaster. Russia claims a Ukrainian drone targeted the plant's dry storage site for spent nuclear fuel on August 26, while the Russian-controlled plant's management said two workers were injured. The latest allegations have once again raised concerns over nuclear safety at Zaporizhzhia, which has remained at the centre of the Russia-Ukraine war.
