UN raises concerns over Myanmar's Arakan Army role in Rohingya trafficking

Al Jazeera investigates allegations that Myanmar’s Arakan Army is complicit in trafficking Rohingya, including children, amid the civil war.

Survivors describe abduction, extortion and sexual violence during escapes from Rakhine, with minors forced onto boats and abandoned in a neighbouring country when ransoms went unpaid; the UN Human Rights Office says it has received similar reports.
