The Heighliner from Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" films is just so striking, I had to do a deep dive. I'm currently reading Frank Herbert's novels, and I'm struck by what a strange and complicated world he created. So I have huge respect for how difficult it is to bring to the big screen. I think the design choices of this particular vessel are most interesting of all, and reveal much about Villeneuve's philosophy in bringing Herbert's world to the big screen. I think this movie crosses the border a little into the horror genre with some of its design choices.
