Grok Bot might be one of the most interesting AI tools I’ve tried so far — because this isn’t just another chatbot. Instead, Grok Bot gives you persistent AI agents with their own cloud computers that can research, browse the web, run routines, use connected apps, and handle tasks in the background without relying on your Mac staying powered on.
In this video, I’m giving you a full beginner walkthrough of Grok Bot: how much it costs, which devices support it, how to create your first agent, how the virtual computer works, how agents can communicate with each other, and how routines can automate recurring tasks. I also show you some of the real ways I’ve been using it, including researching YouTube topics, monitoring X for trending Apple stories, checking Etihad award availability every day, creating morning email briefs, and even helping prepare Apple deal posts.
The biggest question, though, is how much access you’re willing to give an AI agent. The more apps, accounts, and credentials you connect, the more useful Grok Bot becomes — but there’s obviously a privacy and trust tradeoff that comes with that. After about a week of testing it, I’m starting to see why this kind of AI agent could be a much bigger deal than traditional chatbots.
