Jason Arday's final weeks: Scrutiny, resignation and a tragic death

Former Cambridge professor Jason Arday has died aged 41, days after resigning from the university amid allegations of plagiarism, which he denied.

Friends say his life was "needlessly cut short", while the Prime Minister has called his death a tragedy and urged people to reflect.

The case has raised wider questions about media scrutiny, academic standards and the responsibility of institutions when controversies become intensely personal.
