Wangchuk rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement calling protesting youth 'misguided', attributing their anger to systemic examination irregularities. He stated ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh breached an agreement concerning images of his fast-breaking event, urged student groups to remain apolitical, and advised fasting students in Jharkhand on health precautions while cautioning against government police action. Meanwhile, social media company Meta issued an apology to the Indian government over the removal of a video featuring the Prime Minister alongside deepfake concerns, leading the Ministry of Information and Technology to schedule technical questioning. Parliament entered its third week of logjam as opposition parties demanded a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding police action on July 20. Additionally, the National Highways Authority of India penalized PNC Infratech over Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway repairs, and a primary school principal in Sitapur was suspended over midday meal quality.
