The Cabinet Secretary briefed the committee on geopolitical escalation, while public sector refineries operated above 100 percent capacity to maintain stock positions of petrol, diesel, LPG, LNG, and fertilizers. PM Modi directed officials to secure alternate fertilizer sources for the Rabi season, protect the Indian diaspora, and monitor seafarers in conflict zones under a whole-of-government approach. Meanwhile, a political debate emerged over allegations of pellet gun usage and force during protests in Delhi and Bihar, with the BJP citing ongoing internal inquiries by the Delhi Police and CRPF, while Congress demanded accountability from the Home Minister. Parliament also witnessed debates on the Anti-Paper Leak Bill and Vande Mataram bill. Simultaneously, demonstrations erupted in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir against Pakistani military actions, accompanied by media blackouts and social media censorship.
