Children in Gaza are growing up learning the vocabulary of war — words such as "rubble", "displacement" and "quadcopter" — before they can experience a normal childhood. Ten-year-old Banias Humaid can identify the displacement camps in her neighbourhood the way other children might know local parks or schools. Educators warn that prolonged exposure to conflict is reshaping how an entire generation learns, communicates and understands the world around them.
