'Let the oil flow!': Trump says US makes deal with Iran to end war, open Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump said the United States' peace deal with Iran is now "complete" and announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping.

He shared the news on Sunday -- which marked his 80th birthday -- in a Truth Social post.

The news comes one day after Trump said a deal was expected to be signed, vowing that the agreement would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon while reopening the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most important energy transit routes.
