‘Teen Wolf’ Sets Surprise Return To Netflix After 10 Year Hiatus

Picture Credit: MTV It’s been a decade since Teen Wolf last appeared on Netflix in the United States, and overnight on social media, the streamer teased and then confirmed that the show will finally be returning in full beginning at the start of December.  The series has been available to stream on Netflix in most regions around the world at various points. Netflix in the United States has had the longest hiatus: the series streamed in the early 2010s but was removed in 2015, leaving it off the streamer for 10 years. Since its departure, it’s streamed on a number of platforms, including most recently Hulu and Prime Video. Internationally, Teen Wolf was a staple on Netflix in many regions for much of the 2010s. The first two seasons were added in 2016, and the sixth and final season was added in 2017. Those regions, including the UK, kept the show (and got all seasons) for the next six years, and as we reported, it was removed from all remaining international countries in June 2023.  All six seasons of Teen Wolf, consisting of 100 episodes, will return to Netflix US on December 1st. When a high school outcast gets bitten by a mysterious creature in the woods just hours before sophomore year begins, his life changes fast. Scott McCall isn’t declared dead, but he might as well be compared to the version of himself he knew before. Overnight, he gains heightened senses, impossible strength, and a temper that surges with every full moon. Juggling lacrosse practice, new romances, and a best friend who has a little too much fun with the whole “werewolf” thing gets tricky enough, but Beacon Hills is an unlucky town. Scott discovers that every step he takes toward owning his powers pulls him deeper into a hidden supernatural world filled with hunters, monsters, and threats that always seem to target the people he loves most. Who’s in the cast of Teen Wolf? Tyler Posey as Scott McCall Dylan O’Brien as Stiles Stilinski Crystal Reed as Allison Argent Holland Roden as Lydia Martin Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate Arden Cho as Kira Yukimura Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar Linden Ashby as Sheriff Stilinski Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall JR Bourne as Chris Argent Orny Adams as Coach Finstock With recurring roles across the seasons from Ian Bohen, Michael Hogan, Seth Gilliam, Jill Wagner, Cody Christian, Khylin Rhambo, and more. Many members of this cast have gone on to feature in Netflix Original projects, such as Tyler Posey in The Last Summer and Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. Shelley Hennig went on to also feature in a forgotten Netflix Original movie in the form of The After Party. Of course, Arden Cho went on to feature in Partner Track, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and KPop Demon Hunters. Dylan O’Brien hasn’t featured in a full Netflix Original but did feature in Love and Monsters which Netflix distributed exclusively in international territories.  Picture Credit: MTV We’ll soon add Teen Wolf to the December 2025 lineup article we’ve been keeping updated as and when we learn of new arrivals.
