Putin's Shock ANTI-US Strategy? Russia, China & Iran In One Gulf Plan; Trump, Netanyahu Panic

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called for agreements between the United States and Iran aimed at reducing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz to be implemented, as Moscow pushes for a broader security framework in the Gulf. Speaking in Manama, Lavrov argued that regional security should include both Arab Gulf states and Iran, alongside neighbouring countries including Iraq and Jordan. He said outside powers should support that process rather than pursue their own “unilateral geopolitical agendas.” Russia has promoted what it calls a collective-security framework for the Gulf for decades. Lavrov’s latest remarks come amid efforts to translate understandings between Washington and Tehran into practical steps capable of reducing tensions around Hormuz. The strategic waterway has become a major flashpoint in the US-Iran confrontation, with repeated maritime incidents and competing claims over security and navigation. Moscow’s message is that agreements alone will not stabilise the Gulf unless they are actually implemented.
