Opposition bloc marches towards Supreme Court as protests intensify

Thousands of people have marched towards India’s Supreme Court as widespread protests over alleged electoral fraud continue across the country. Opposition parties and supporters of the youth-led ‘Cockroach’ movement have protested almost daily this month. They want the election chief to resign over what they say is the removal of 130 million people from electoral rolls. Nearly a billion people were eligible to vote in India’s last general election in 2024. Over the weekend, police detained thousands of opposition demonstrators. Mohammed Haji reports.
