'A lot of failures' from Cornell University, says 'Jane Doe' lawyer

Students have been protesting at Cornell University, accusing its leadership of prioritising the university’s reputation over student safety.

Jane Doe says she was raped by several male students at a fraternity house in 2024, but little action was taken by the university at the time. Cornell’s president has now committed to an investigation.

Speaking to Sky News, Jane Doe’s lawyer Thomas Giuffra said she “was served up like a piece of meat” and described the case as the most important he has ever handled.
