Childcare centre opens inside seniors' home

A new childcare centre is bringing generations together by moving 50 babies and toddlers into a community for seniors and veterans. CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports that Perley Health resident Ghislaine Savard was moved to tears by the opportunity to visit and play with the children. Andrew Fleck Children's Services CEO Kim Hiscott says the goal is to make these interactions a successful part of everyday life for both age groups. Commissionaires Ottawa Research Chair Dr. Annie Robitaille will conduct observational work to see if the program decreases loneliness among seniors.
