Vice President JD Vance said talks to end fighting in southern Lebanon, where persistent fighting between the Israeli military and Hezbollah has threatened to upend negotiations to end the war in Iran, were still a “work in progress.”

The US and Iran agreed to create a “de-confliction cell” involving Lebanon and facilitated by Qatar and Pakistan to ensure the end of military operations in Lebanon, mediators said after talks in Switzerland concluded late last night.
