After what Israel describes as a crushing victory over Iran, President Trump says a framework agreement with Iran could be signed today or tomorrow. Pakistan says the agreement will be signed digitally, while Iran has not fully confirmed the timing. Trump says that once everything calms down, the United States will collect Iran’s enriched uranium and destroy it.
Israeli officials are worried that the emerging agreement may not address the most sensitive security issues for Israel. The reported memorandum is expected to open a 60-day negotiation period, extend the ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and remove the American blockade on Iranian ports. Trump insists Iran will not receive money under the initial agreement and says he still has an “ultimate alternative” if there is no quick solution.
Iran is sending conflicting messages. Tehran says it may sign in the coming days, while channels linked to the Revolutionary Guards deny the deal will be signed tomorrow and criticize Trump’s push to sign it on his birthday. Iran also claims it will keep control over the Strait of Hormuz and charge ships passing through the waterway.
Even as the Iran deal takes shape, the Iranian axis remains active. Yair Pinto and Mati Shoshani examine Iran’s grip on Lebanon, where Iranian military officials are reportedly involved in Hezbollah’s command structure and decision-making. In southern Lebanon, IDF forces operating near the Beaufort Ridge uncovered operational maps in Hezbollah terror tunnels, showing plans connected to an attack against northern Israel.
Iran has published the funeral route for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was eliminated during Operation Roar of the Lion. The ceremonies are expected to continue for five days across Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad before burial at the Imam Reza complex, as the regime faces internal pressure and a battle over succession.
