Can You Beat GTA 5 Without Ever Leaving the Ground?

Leaving the ground in GTA 5 causes instant explosion. No jumping, no flying, no air whatsoever: just the entire game played from ground level while trying not to instinctively press the jump button every five seconds. Most missions were terrifying. Some were impossible. And the number of times I nearly killed myself out of pure muscle memory is embarrassing.
