This set used to be made under Panini, but now that Topps has the NBA license, and given that the Hoops brand is owned by the NBA, we have an all new iteration of this classic set! A longtime favorite of collectors, Hoops blends accessible collecting with premium chase elements, celebrating both today’s stars and the league’s next generation. Like under Panini, the return of NBA Hoops an entry level set at a more affordable price point with fast-paced fun and classic NBA energy in every box. Hobby boxes sell in the mid $300 range. Every box contains 20 8-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 2 autographs and an assortment of inserts and parallels per box. Jumbo boxes sell in the $600-700 range. Every box contains 12 20-card packs (8 box cases). Expect 3 autographs and an assortment of inserts/parallels per box. These boxes come with chances at pulling officially licensed rookie cards of the top players from the 2025 NBA Draft class in their NBA jerseys, 1/1 Platinum parallels, new ultra-rare SSP case-hit inserts (Finals Pursuit First Round/Second Round/Semi-Finals/The Finals/Champions Team/Champions Players/Finals MVP, Oasis, Joy, Checkmate, Hoopnotic), various SP/SSP parallels from the Base/Highlights/All-Stars subsets (Gold, Base Rainbow, Pixel Burst, Yellow, Green and Blue, Gold and Green, PB Blue, Purple, Green, Orange, Black, Red, Pixel Burst Platinum 1/1), various inserts (Bounce House, Next Episode, Dunk-Umentory, Pay Attention, Hoopers), on-card hard signed and sticker signature cards featuring ink of top talents (Hoops Rookie Signatures, Hoops Signs, multi-signed Dual and Triple autos, 1989 Signatures, base rookie/veteran autos), rare cards of the NBA's top rookie/star/legend/HOF athletes (LeBron James, Steph Curry, Cooper Flagg, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, Kon Knueppel), and more! We initially thought we lost this staple in the industry when Panini exited NBA cards, but it is officially here to stay with new grails to chase! Overall, I would rate this product a 7/10 as the card quality and outputs per box were a very pleasant surprise. This ended up being one of the best unboxings of all time!
