Man rushed to hospital after being beaten by gang in Down
A man was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after being ‘repeatedly’ beaten by a gang of men in Co Down.
The PSNI received a report at around 3am regarding a man who had been ‘attacked by several males’ in the James Street area of Newtownards.
It has been reported that the injured man was hit repeatedly with blunt instruments and was taken to the hospital for treatment on his arms, legs and head.

The PSNI stated that the group of men who attacked him fled the scene in a car along Balfour Street.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or dash-cam/CCTV footage to call them on 101, quoting reference 278 28/06/26.
