Gardai issue update as they hunt driver who fled from fatal crash
Gardaí have launched an appeal after a man fled from the scene of a fatal three-car collision in Co Limerick.
The crash happened on the N21 between Abbeyfeale and Newcastle West at around 11pm on Monday, June 8.
A male passenger in one of the cars, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The coroner has been notified.
The driver of that car fled the scene on foot, and Gardaí are now trying to identify the person. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle and will undergo further technical and ballistic analysis.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen the car, a Seat Leon with the registration plate KV12-KHP, in the Kerry, Limerick and north Cork areas between Sunday June 7 and Monday June 8.
Investigators are particularly keen to hear from any business premises that may have provided accommodation to the occupants of the vehicle, as well as any service stations where they may have bought petrol.
Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who were travelling on the N21 from Newcastle West towards Abbeyfeale between 11pm and 11.30pm on Monday and who may have camera or dashcam footage to make it available.
