DOT reminds tourists: Stay outside Mayon danger zones
LEGAZPI CITY, Albay — The Department of Tourism (DOT) in the Bicol region has reminded tourists to stay away from the declared six-kilometer permanent danger zone around Mayon Volcano while engaging in activities during the Holy Week break. DOT Regional Director Herbie Aguas said Mayon remains under Alert Level 3 and is still in an effusive eruption, with lava flows, short-lived fountaining, and rockfall events occurring frequently.
