Urgent search for missing GAA coach, 20, in Lahinch as family extremely concerned

Gardai have launched an urgent appeal asking for the public's help finding a young GAA coach who has gone missing in Co Clare.Jack Boddy, aged 20 and originally from Limerick, was reported missing from Lahinch during the early hours of Sunday morning.He was last seen at around 12.45am in the coastal town wearing a navy polo t shirt and grey combat style pants.Jack is described as being 5' 10" tall, with brown hair and blue/green eyes.Both gardai and Jack's family say they are concerned for his wellbeing.A Garda spokesperson said this evening: "Gardai are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Jack Boddy, (20) who was reported missing from Lahinch, Co. Clare since Sunday 15th March 2026."Jack is described as being approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, with brown hair and blue/green eyes. Jack was last seen wearing a navy polo t-shirt and grey combat style pants on Sunday 15th March at approximately 0:45am in Lahinch, Co. Clare."Gardai and Jack’s family are concerned for his well-being. Anyone with any information on Jack’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ennistymon Garda Station on 065 707 2180, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."A search operation took place in Lahinch today as efforts to find the missing 20 year old continue.Jack is a member of the Clare U20 football management team and works as the squad's strength and conditioning coach. Last season, he worked as an assistant to Shane O'Rourke who coached the county's senior footballers.Concerned friends have shared appeals on social media urging anyone with information to come forward. One post reads: "If anyone knows the whereabouts of Clare GAA U20 football S&C coach Jack Boddy who's been missing since the early hours of this morning Sunday in Lahinch area. Please contact the number below or Gardai with any information. His family are extremely concerned."Another post shared ahead of the search effort said: "A search operation is to begin in Lahinch on Monday morning for Jack Boddy."Limerick native Jack has been missing since the early hours of Sunday morning.
