Ayvens rolls out new charging app with Plugsurfing
Ayvens and Plugsurfing announced their collaboration in September, and their joint offering is now ready. With the Ayvens Power App, customers in the Netherlands can access over one million charging points across Europe from various operators. This means the Ayvens charging app offers coverage comparable to that of other Plugsurfing customers, such as Polestar, Renault, Vinfast, Xpeng, and Zeekr.“The Netherlands is an important market for our EV customers. Ayvens Power helps us give drivers an easier charging experience while offering fleet managers clearer visibility into charging behavior,” said Sander Pleij, Managing Director of Ayvens Netherlands. The new offering is not just for drivers but also for fleet operators. They can use the My Ayvens Power fleet portal to monitor and support the charging of battery-electric vehicles used by their drivers. At launch in the Netherlands, the following features are available:Charging Insights: See how and where drivers chargeCost Transparency: View charging data for public, private, and business applicationsReporting Tools: Export data for internal reporting and cost allocationAdditional modules are set to follow.Ayvens plans to expand the charging offering to France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and the UK later this year. The company already manages over 600,000 electric vehicles and aims to provide tailored solutions for them. Ayvens was established in 2023 through the acquisition of LeasePlan by the French provider ALD Automotive, one of Europe’s leading players in fleet management and mobility. In October 2025, the rebranding of ALD Automotive to Ayvens was also completed in Germany.Plugsurfing was founded in Berlin in 2012 but was fully acquired by the Finnish energy provider Fortum in 2018 and later sold to the US-based business payment provider Fleetcor Technologies in 2022. Fleetcor Technologies, in turn, rebranded as Corpay in 2024. Plugsurfing offers its charging app both directly to end customers and as a white-label solution. The technical basis for roaming is the Intercharge platform of the Berlin-based company Hubject, with which Plugsurfing has collaborated since its early days.plugsurfing.com
