Mohamed Salah is set to return to Liverpool’s matchday squad for this weekend’s Premier League clash with Brighton following talks with manager Arne Slot on Friday.The 33-year-old Egypt international sparked headlines last weekend after expressing frustration over being benched during the 3-3 draw with Sunderland, claiming he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club. Salah also suggested a strained relationship with Slot and hinted at the possibility of a mid-season departure.In response, Liverpool and Slot excluded Salah from the squad for the midweek trip to face Inter Milan. Speaking at Friday’s press conference, Slot confirmed he would hold discussions with Salah ahead of Saturday’s game against Brighton.It's now understood that Salah will be reintegrated into Slot's matchday squad, with The Telegraph confirming the player and Slot held peace talks at the club's training ground.The Brighton game will be the final opportunity for Slot to select Salah before the attacker heads off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.Speaking earlier in the day at the club's AXA Training Complex in Kirby, Slot confirmed: "I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow."What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here.
