Shots fired in Dublin estate as gardai launch urgent witness appeal

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after shots were fired in a residential area of Dublin last night.A firearm was discharged on Templeview Avenue in Clarehall, Dublin 17 at around 7.49pm.No injuries have been reported in this incident.The scene was sealed off for a technical exam by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.Witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage are asked to get in touch with gardai.A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm that occurred on Templeview Avenue, Clarehall, Dublin 17 at approximately 7:49pm on Thursday, 11th December 2025. No injuries were reported."A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit."Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the vicinity of the Templeview Estate, Clarehall, Dublin 17 between 7:30pm and 8:15pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí."Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigation team in Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
