Man, 40s, rushed to hospital following North Strand assault
A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital following an assault in Dublin city earlier this week. The incident, which happened in the North Strand area of Dublin on Tuesday night, took place at around 9:40pm. The man, in his 40s, was hospitalised due to the assault. He was taken to the Mater Hospital for his injuries, which were understood to not be life threatening. Gardai are continuing their investigations into the incident. A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí responded to an incident of assault that occurred at approximately 9:40pm on the 16th of September 2025 off the North Strand Road, Dublin 1. "A man aged in his 40s was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident. "Investigations are ongoing."
