Trump attacks Democrat James Talarico in Texas as trans issues divide midterms

Donald Trump has campaigned in Texas ahead of the US midterm elections, attacking Democratic candidate James Talarico, as religious beliefs and transgender rights take centre stage in tight races.

Trump called Talarico "a freak" at a rally, while voters clashed over the Democrat's statement that "God is non-binary" and his theological interpretation of Christianity.
