‘ARE YOU SCARED?’: Marco Rubio Cornered On Trump’s Russia & Iran Agenda As Democrats Lead Midterms

Marco Rubio was pressed on whether a Democratic takeover of Congress would make it harder for the Trump administration to carry out its foreign-policy agenda — especially as wars involving Russia-Ukraine and Iran dominate the international agenda.

Rubio’s answer was unequivocal: the midterm result would not change President Donald Trump’s foreign-policy directives.

Speaking to reporters at the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Atlanta, Rubio argued that foreign policy remains primarily an executive-branch responsibility.

“It will not influence or change the president’s directives in terms of what he was elected to do,” Rubio said.
