RUBIO VS LULA ON CAM! U.S. Cornered Over Bolsonaro Escape As Brazil Deals Election Blow To Trump

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has denied that Washington helped Flávio Bolsonaro leave Brazil, amid questions over how the defeated presidential candidate travelled to the United States. Speaking after the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Atlanta, Rubio said the US government “didn’t facilitate anything” and was not involved in arrangements for Bolsonaro’s departure from Brazil. Rubio said Bolsonaro already had a US visa and that President Donald Trump’s decision was to allow him to enter the United States once he arrived. The controversy has drawn scrutiny from US lawmakers, with 25 House Democrats demanding answers from Rubio about whether American officials provided assistance connected to Bolsonaro’s travel.
