ON CAM: Marco Rubio Caught Off Guard Over Trump’s Greenland Deal; ‘Don’t Know What To Say’

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the Trump administration’s Greenland agreement during a news conference in Atlanta, arguing that the pact delivers the strategic outcome President Donald Trump had sought. Rubio pushed back on criticism surrounding Trump’s Greenland policy and presented the agreement as fulfilling Washington’s objectives without abandoning the administration’s focus on American security interests in the Arctic. His remarks came during a press conference following the G20 Foreign Ministers’ gathering in Atlanta. Rubio’s message was straightforward: whatever controversy surrounded Trump’s original Greenland push, the administration believes the resulting arrangement gives the United States what the president wanted.
