2026 proved to be another strong summer for Vancouver Island's tourism industry. From packed hotels and busy whale-watching tours, to a rebound in cruise ship traffic... communities up and down Vancouver Island saw visitor numbers climb. Victoria and Tofino led the pack, but Nanaimo saw its own wins too.
