The USS Abraham Lincoln has returned to San Diego after a 321-day deployment, ending nearly 11 months away from home and one of the most demanding carrier deployments in recent U.S. Navy history. The carrier also spent a record 265 consecutive days at sea without a port call during a mission that was repeatedly extended as it supported U.S. operations in the Iran war.
New visuals of the carrier show heavy rust streaking and weathering across parts of its hull as thousands of family members gathered in San Diego to welcome sailors and Marines home.
