'Arab Commander Killed, Riyadh Airport...'; Houthi Strikes Push Saudi Arabia Into New Danger Zone
Fresh tensions are being reported between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi movement, with reports of explosions in the Najran area and claims of disruptions to air traffic around Riyadh. The developments have not been independently verified. Footage circulating through Houthi-affiliated channels also reportedly shows Burkan-1 ballistic missiles being prepared for an operation. The missile system, first publicly unveiled by the Houthis in 2016, has previously been used in attacks targeting Saudi territory. Meanwhile, fighting has intensified around Ta’izz, where Saudi-backed Yemeni forces and Houthi fighters have clashed across multiple fronts. A senior Saudi-backed commander, Major General Muhammad Salem al-Khawlani, was also reported killed during fighting on the Al-Kadha front.
