'KEEP EU OUT': Trump, Putin Eye Ukraine Deal Without Europe? Big Talks Bombshell Emerge

The European Union has faced questions over why none of its representatives attended talks in Kyiv involving Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Asked directly whether the EU had not been invited, spokesperson Christian Wigand said Brussels was “aware” of the meetings and remained in constant contact with key interlocutors. He did not explain why no EU representative participated. The exchange has intensified questions over Europe’s role as Washington conducts direct diplomacy with Russia and Ukraine over the future of a conflict taking place on the EU’s borders.
