Two dead whales removed between Mundesley and Trimingham
The giant mammals washed up between Mundesley and Trimingham sometime on Monday.
Officers from North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) recovered the carcasses during the following evening.
Two whales have washed up between Mundesley and Trimingham.
Beachgoers were urged to avoid the bodies at the time.
A spokesman for NNDC said: "The remains of two whales found on the beach between Mundesley and Trimingham were removed yesterday.
"The council will continue to work with the Institute of Zoology to identify the whale species and learn as much as possible."
Beachgoers have been urged to avoid the carcasses.
Last week, a dead minke whale washed up on Hemsby beach.
The animal was hauled off the beach using a trailer by the council four days after it washed ashore.
