Eurovoix Super Early Eurovision Predictions 2026: First Part of Results Are Revealed

As the announcement fast approaches for which city will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, here at Eurovoix we revisit a year ago when we were soon to discover this year’s event to be held in Vienna. We apologise for the delay but we are now ready to reveal the results of our annual competition Super Early Eurovision Predictions, where 12 of the writers on our team were challenged with 20 questions about the 2026 edition.

In the first episode of our two part season released this weekend we reveal the answers given to the first 10 questions.

Initial Preparations Will the date of the Grand Final be May 16 or 23? 5 points were only available to those that said the May 16. What will be the host city? 5 points were only available to those that said Vienna, as we already only had a shortlist of two by the time of asking. What will be the venue? 5 points were only available to those that said Wiener Stadthalle, as we already only had a shortlist of two by the time of asking. How many countries will compete? 5 points were awarded to anyone saying 35 countries, with 1 point deducted per answer away from the correct total. Will Moldova come back? 5 points were only available to those that said yes. Further Details Name a person you think could present the show? 5 points were awarded to anyone saying either Victoria Swarovski or Michael Ostrowski as the main hosts. 4 points were awarded to anyone saying Emily Busvine as the additional green room host, 3 points were awarded to anyone saying Alexandra Wachter or Cesár Sampson as hosts of the Allocation Draw or Tina Ritschl or Philipp Maschl as hosts of the Turquoise Carpet. 1 point was awarded to anyone saying anyone that said Alice Tumler, who hosted Austria’s selection show alongside Cesár Sampson (still worth only 3 points). Name a Eurovision artist you think could return? 5 points were awarded to anyone saying Senhit, Vanilla Ninja, Alicja or Bzikebi. 4 points were awarded to anyone saying Aliona Moon as a backing vocalist. 3 points were awarded to anyone saying an artist who participated in a national final but was not selected. There were also other scenarios where points were given, for example in Ukraine, Go_A was predicted, and Monokate from Go_A was in the selection, likewise Robert Ox from Citi Zēni in Latvia. Similarly Anton Ragozza in Moldova, who did not try and compete again, but was a songwriter for a selection entry. Will there be a mascot this year? 5 points were only available to those that said yes. Will there be an anniversary show for the 70th edition? 5 points were only available to those that said no. Though the Eurovision Tour was announced, which was to celebrate 70 years, this was cancelled and therefore this question had to be remarked. This year we additionally set the challenge to our readers, with the results of this revealed just after the conclusion of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in May. Tomorrow, we will reveal the concluding part of the competition where we will crown our winner. We have sadly decided to rest this challenge competition and will not be organising an edition for 2027 for either the readers or writers.
