Car enters the pond in St Stephen’s Green park
A car entered the pond in St Stephen’s Green Park on Wednesday evening.Gardaí confirmed that the incident took place, and emergency services attended the scene. Widespread video footage of the event has been shared on social media, showing the car with its front bonnet and wheel submerged in the water feature.No injuries have been reported at this time. Gardaí said that the car entered the pond at around 5pm.Cars are strictly prohibited from entering the pedestrian gates at St Stephen’s Green. It is not yet known how the vehicle came to be in the park.A Garda spokesperson confirmed the incident. "Gardaí and emergency services attended at an incident where a car entered a pond in St Stephen’s Green Park, Dublin 2, this afternoon, Wednesday 10th June 2026" they told Dublin live."The incident occurred at approximately 5:10pm.
