The Cinder Team Is Doubling Up in St John’s Wood
Chef owner Jake Finn is bringing us No. Forty NineAfter finding success with live-fire spot Cinder, first in Belsize Park and then in St John’s Wood, Jake Finn is opening a new concept in North West London this June, just a minute’s walk away from his restaurant in St John’s Wood. He’s teaming up with Ella Williams (ex-Hausu, Mountain and Crispin) for No. Forty Nine, which’ll run as a bakery, all-day bistro and wine bar.No. Forty Nine will open daily from 8am to serve coffees, juices, brekkie dishes to-go, breads and pastries like, pastrami pain suisse; burnt leek, cheddar & Marmite swirls; miso butterscotch canelés; and candied orange financiers. From midday, Ella will be serving a menu that blends NYC bistro dishes with Mediterranean influences, meaning plates like:
