Further tragedy for Faulkner family as 10-year-old injured in car crash
There has been further heartbreak for the Faulkner family, just two weeks after the death of Limerick woman Scarlett.
The 29-year-old mum-of-one died earlier in the week, after spending three weeks in hospital following an attack in Birdhill.
Ms Faulkner had been on life support at Cork University Hospital.

Just days after Scarlett’s funeral, her brother Jason Faulkner died after his body was recovered from a river in Limerick.
Gardaí confirmed that they had attended the scene alongside emergency services on Sunday, April 19.

Josephine Duffy took to social media to appeal to the public for prayers for her husband’s cousin, Christopher.
Josephine noted that it was the ‘third Sunday in a row’ that the Faulkner family had been struck with bad news.

‘I don’t know how much more they can take,’ she admitted.
The two-car collision took place on the Belfast Road, Butts Corner shortly after 8am on Sunday morning, the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) confirmed.
Detective Inspector Dave Stewart detailed that the driver of the Passat sustained minor injuries, while two other passengers remained in hospital.
This includes the ten-year-old in critical condition.
