Walberswick named among best spots for UK staycation
Travel experts for the Daily Mail shared their favourite places to spend time exploring the country in the summer months.
Included in the round-up was Walberswick.
Known as the poshest village in Suffolk, Walberswick regularly attracts visitors wanting a more relaxed trip to the beach.
The sand, shingle and sea are just a short walk from the village green which is home to a collection of tearooms, pubs and shops.
The sand dunes and nearby nature reserve are also ideal for walkers and nature enthusiasts wanting to catch a glimpse of local wildlife.
Visitors can get a boat across to the neighbouring town of Southwold and visit attractions such as Southwold Pier and the Harbour.
Speaking about the Suffolk destination, a writer for the Daily Mail said: "A trip to Walberswick, one of Suffolk’s coastal towns, has all of the components I think a good British staycation should: sea air, unspoilt beaches and great food."
