One Direction star rushed to hospital with mystery illness
One Direction star Zayn Malik has been rushed to hospital and is undergoing tests for a mystery illness.
The 1D star shared a post to fans on his Instagram page, where he thanked the doctors and medical team for taking such good care of him as he revealed he has been in hospital for the past week.
The 33-year-old shared a photo of himself in a hospital gown, with wires on his chest and a cannula in his left arm, as he thanked all his fans for their love and support during the past few days.

His Instagram post read – ‘To my fans – thank you to all of you for your love & support now & always.’
‘Been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering. Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding.’
‘Thank you to the incredible hospital staff of Drs, nurses, cardiologists, management, admin, and everyone who has helped along the way and continues to.’
‘You are all legends! Big big love xx x.’

The One Direction star did not divulge why he is in hospital, or even hint as to his condition, but the announcement that he is undergoing tests comes just a few days after he cancelled a massive UK gig at the last minute.
Fans were left disappointed when he cancelled a show and a Q&A session at Banquet Records.
