Stars turn on the style for Chernobyl Childrens Lunch in Dublin today
Stars of Irish television, radio, and social media turned out to support Adi Roche and her charity Chernobyl Children’s International at a lunch at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin this afternoon (Friday).
Newlyweds Ryan Tubridy and his wife, Clare Kambamettu, sported matching polka dots as they posed for photos on the way into the event.
Clare wore a green dotted dress, and Ryan matched his tie and handkerchief to complement his wife’s outfit.

Ryan and Clare were just two of 400 guests who showed their support for the charity this afternoon, including Ali Hewson, Anna Daly, Dave Fanning, and DIY SOS star, Baz Ashmawy.
The event is run by businessman Noel Kelly and Liz O’Donnell, the former Minister of State, who, as members of the CCI’s Board of Directors, have supported the CCI for the past number of years, playing a very important role in helping the charity to reach its goals.
Businesses from across Ireland showed their support for the charity lunch, donating a range of raffle prizes, including weekend breaks at luxury resorts, beauty treatments, and jewellery.

Adi Roche, founder and voluntary CEO of CCI, paid tribute to the generosity of the Irish public, whose continued support has allowed the organisation to carry out humanitarian work in the Chernobyl region for more than four decades.
She said the anniversary marks a moment that feels both distant and deeply immediate.

‘For Ireland, April 26 is not just a date tied to a tragedy far away, it marked the beginning of a decades-long legacy of compassion, resilience, and extraordinary kindness,” she said. “Today, we recognise and honour that spirit.’
She added that the Chernobyl disaster gave rise to a powerful sense of global solidarity.
