Hacha’s original site to close

Deano Moncrieffe and Emma Murphy have announced that the original Hacha bar in London’s Dalston will close on 25 April, exactly seven years since opening. Hacha Dalston opened in 2019 and has remained the flagship site The bar is the only remaining Hacha venue in operation, following the closure of its Brixton site in February 2025. The group also opened a bar in Bermondsey, which closed after seven months due to changes with the Locke hotel group. Posting on Instagram, Hacha said: “Seven years ago, on 25 April 2019, we opened the doors to Hacha for the first time. On 25 April 2026 – exactly seven years to the day – we will be closing them. “It’s the end of an era for our little neighbourhood bar, a space that has meant so much to us and to so many of you. “Over the past five years, Hacha has operated as a two-site business, and continuing in our current form with only Dalston is no longer sustainable. As we’ve grown, we’ve outgrown having this space alone and so now need to find a new long-term home for the brand. “This isn’t the end of Hacha. This summer, we will still be serving the best agave cocktails in London and, of course, our Mirror Margarita. “You’ll find us at six festivals across the UK, alongside a series of short-term residencies and pop-ups as we continue to build the next chapter. “To everyone who has been part of this journey – our team, our community, our guests – thank you. Truly. “We’ve got four more weeks together. Let’s make them count.” Related news On-trade experts give free sustainability advice St Patrick’s Day gives 16% boost to Irish on-trade Isolabella is number-one limoncello in UK on-trade
