Beloved Inchicore pub McDowell's reopens in time for St Patrick's Athletic v Sligo Rovers
It will be a historic night in Inchicore as McDowell's pub opens its doors once again.The bar, also known as the Richmond House, is the home pub of St Patrick's Athletic FC. Fans of the club will be well familiar with the spot, located beside the entrance to Richmond Park.It's gone through some renovations, and visitors are eager to check out the improvements. While some work is still ongoing, the bar opened at 12 today, with the lounge opening at 3pm.Works have included redoing the floor, upgrading the seating and installing a new sound system. The front of the pub has also received a facelift, with the beer garden getting a makeover too.St Patrick's Athletic will be facing Sligo Rovers tonight 1t 7:45pm so it's sure to be a packed Good Friday. There will also be performances in McDowell's by Jay & Sonia at 5.30pm and Luke Kelly at 10pm.The re-opening has already proven a hit with regulars. One said: "Savage... back to the real Saints pub again." While another added: "Looks great, it will look even better tomorrow night full of Super Saints.
