Warrington man discovered dead 'intended to end his life'

Joseph Dixon was discovered dead after a concern for welfare call to his town centre flat on Bold Street on Tuesday, January 6. Cheshire Coroner's Court has heard how the 52-year-old's had a history of suicidal thoughts. Elizabeth Wheeler, the assistant coroner, carried out a written inquest in which she came to the conclusion it was a suicide. At a hearing this week a police coroner's officer said: "It is likely he intended to end his own life. The coroner's conclusion is one of suicide."
