Drugs gang dealt a blow as €2.75m worth of cocaine seized by gardai in Dublin

Gardai have blown a dent in the operations of a Dublin-based organised drugs gang, seizing an estimated €2.75m worth of cocaine.Two properties in the Coolock and Finglas areas of Dublin were searched by the Dublin Crime Response team on Friday, March 20 as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime under Operation Tara.During the course of the operation, Gardaí seized 38kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €2,660,000 at a business premises in Coolock.In a follow-up search of a residential property in Finglas, 1kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 and 1kg of cannabis with a value of €20,000 was seized.Sign up to our new Crime Ireland newsletter and get exclusive content from Michael O'Toole and Paul HealyThe Irish Mirror's Crime Writers Michael O'Toole and Paul Healy are writing a new weekly newsletter called Crime Ireland.
