Kelly Ripa Gets An Update From Her Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame: “Is That Blood On the Star?”

As Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos prepare to take on the Oscars and of course Live with Kelly and Mark‘s After the Oscars show on Monday morning, the co-hosts got a call from comedian Matt Friend, who will be the daytime talk show’s red carpet correspondent on Sunday, on Friday’s pre-recorded Pre-Oscars show. Ripa introduced Friend, who conveniently called in from her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she received in October 2015. However, Ripa noticed a dark smudge on the star, leading her to wonder what it could be. “Is that blood on the star?” she quipped. Fortunately, Friend assured Ripa that there was “no blood on the star,” and gave her another promising update about its status. “But your star is the only star within the vicinity that is not covered in fresh urine,” he teased. “So I can report back to you, it is a clean star.” Ripa joked, “Thank you for cleaning that up for me.” Photo: WABC Live is returning to the Dolby Theatre for its annual post-Oscars show on Monday, where, as DECIDER exclusively announced, Ripa and Consuelos will be joined by comedian Leanne Morgan.
