St Patrick's Day 2026 is less than a week away and towns, villages and groups all across Dublin are preparing to take part in their local parades.It's not all about the main event in the city centre, as there are plenty of local alternatives for people to enjoy on their doorstep.There's something for everyone across the four Dublin local authorities on St Patrick's Day, with each Council in the county having at least one parade for locals to enjoy.Here is our list of all the parades happening around the county - and if we've missed your local parade, drop an email to news@dublinlive.ie and let us know.LucanLucan will host their 35th local parade this year, with their festivities kicking off at 3pm. From schools and sports clubs to local organisations and performers, Lucanians always bring colour, music and energy to the streets, and this year will be no different as the parade will showcase the incredible range of groups that make up the Lucan community.ClondalkinClondalkin Village's St Patrick's Day parade gets underway at 2:30pm. Grand marshall Enya Martin will lead the parade, who are still actively looking for volunteers - you can contact the organisers to offer your help on Facebook here.TallaghtTallaght St Patrick’s Day Festival 2026 will take place in Tallaght Village from 11:30am, featuring a vibrant programme of live music, family-friendly entertainment, face painting and community performances. A highlight of the day is the annual 5K Road Race at 12.15pm, delivered in partnership with Tallaght Athletics Club, followed by the main parade at 1:30pm, which will showcase over 35 local groups in a colourful celebration of community spirit and Irish culture.BlanchardstownThe festivities in Blanchardstown kick off at 12pm, where the streets come alive with the infectious energy of St. Patrick's Day. The Route runs from the junction of Church Avenue, Mill Road & Mary Street, Main Street, Past Clonsilla Road Junction and finishes at Blanchardstown Garda Station.SwordsSwords is all set to host a spectacular parade, starting at 11am, that captures the heart of Irish tradition and heritage. The Route runs from Colasite Choilm, Dublin Road, along Main Street, turning right at Bridge Street Junction, along North Street and finsihing at Swords Castle Town Park.BalbrigganBalbriggan's parade promises a delightful blend of community enthusiasm and Irish flair. Starting at 12pm, the Route runs from Bremore Castle Car Park, Drogheda Street, Dublin Street to St. Peter's and Paul Catholic Church.MalahideMalahide will transform into a hub of St. Patrick's Day excitement from 2pm. The Route runs from the Cricket Club, Malahide Road R106 from the junction of Yellow Walls Road, Main Street, The Mall, Coast Road and finishes at the Grand Hotel.RushRush's parade gets underway at 1pm.The Route runs from Lower Main Street, Bawn Road, Kilbush Lane to Chapel Green.LuskLusk's parade start at 1:30pm. The Route runs from R127 Ring Road to Station Road, Main Street, Post Office Road to The Green.SkerriesThe Skerries parade starts at 3pm.The Route runs from South Strand Street to Strand Street.DonabateDonabate's parade will take place on Saturday instead of next Tuesday. It will commence at 1:30pm from Ballisk Roundabout and conclude at approximately 2:15pm at St Patrick's Church and Parish Hall on Main Street, followed by festival activities which are due to conclude at 4.30pm.RahenyRaheny Village's community celebration kicks off at 1pm. Their parade makes its way through the heart of Raheny, starting at Adams Pharmacy, progressing down Main Street, turning left onto Watermill Road, then right onto Watermill Drive to All Saints' Park, then left onto All Saints’ Drive, another left onto Wade Avenue, before finishing at the corner of Wade Avenue and Ballyhoy Avenue. Attendees can expect lots of colour, craic agus ceol as local schools, sports clubs, community groups and much more parade through the streets of Raheny.Dun LaoghaireThe Dun Laoghaire St Patrick’s Day Parade bursts into action at 11am, with a spectacular display of Irish culture, creativity, and community spirit. With over 50 groups taking part including Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the Irish Coast Guard, Ukulele Hooley, Twilight Twirlers, Samba Dance Brazil, the RNLI, Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns, Goat Boat Tours, local sports clubs, dancers, and so many more, this year’s parade promises something for everyone. This year’s Grand Marshal is Winter Olympian Cormac Comerford.StepasideIn Stepaside, the St Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 2.30pm, featuring a vibrant mix of nearly 40 participating groups and more than 3,000 people taking part. Spectators can look forward to dancers, musicians, sporting clubs, choirs, youth bands, floats, vintage cars, Scouts, Girl Guides, schools, and much more, with a wonderful variety of cultures represented throughout the parade. There will also be a Fun Fair in the Village with lots of rides, and food trucks with a variety of options for everyone.
