Mother's silence as daughter abused is beyond our understanding
Most women would die for their children. Most men would too. But there are those who walk amongst us who are wired wrong or are evil or have a terrible depravity inside that leads to the sexual abuse of their own children.
We can’t really get our heads around this sort of evil, to be honest. We read about a terrible case, or hear it discussed on radio, or see it on the news, and it feels like the perpetrators are so removed from ordinary decency that they are almost inhuman, that they are monsters.
